This article is about one week, June 9–15, in which four important events will take place: Jupiter will move from Gemini to Cancer, Sun and Moon will form the full-moon opposition, Mars and Uranus will form a powerful square and, on the same day, Jupiter and Saturn will form a third and final waxing square. All of this in a lunation that began with the new moon in Gemini, only two days after Saturn temporarily left Pisces to be in Aries until September 1. Of course, I will try to give meaning to these events and even discuss their effect on Trump’s chart, for the full moon in Sagittarius will occur three days before his birthday and reactivate the lunar eclipse in his chart.
Saturn’s Entering Events
In the last article, we saw that Saturn entered Aries on either May 24 or 25, depending on your location, after being in Pisces since March 7, 2022. I said numerous times that Saturn is not comfortable in Pisces, where it is asked to structure the oceans, so to speak. Being the last sign of the zodiac, and mutable to boot, Pisces symbolizes a phase when the information of the entire cycle is available for review to see the many emotional sides of a situation. Saturn has a lot of trouble with indecision, it operates through forms, structures and norms, not ideas or visions. When it asks why, it is not interested in a metaphysical answer but in why should it bother giving form and structure to something,
Conversely, there is no room for indecision in the Aries phase, only action. Trump vacillated for months while Saturn was in Pisces, going back and forth on the tariffs issue. But, as soon as Saturn entered Aries, the courts ordered most of the tariffs gone in ten days. An appellate court reinstated them temporarily but the point remains the same, there is action to give structure and clarity, as opposed to indecision; at least for the time being.
Upon entering Aries, Saturn formed a very tight conjunction with Neptune which, as we also discussed in the last article, seems to bring important changes to Russia. Last Sunday, there was a significant reversal in its war with Ukraine, when the latter blew up a third of its bomber fleet. A day later, Ukraine also caused significant damage on the bridge built by Putin to connect the Crimean peninsula with Russia. Once more, I remind you that the Saturn–Neptune conjunction will be in orb for an entire year and the two planets will be forced to work together. On a personal note, this will mark an opportunity to give form and structure to our ideals, as long as we consider them feasible and not fantasies.
Jupiter Changes Signs
The First Quarter phase occurred last Monday, June 2, just hours after a beautiful healing conjunction in Aries between Venus and Chiron. Venus entered Taurus, one of the signs it rules, yesterday, June 6, and will be in the sign until July 4, when it will move to Gemini a few days before Uranus. Venus in Taurus symbolizes sensuality in relationships and affinity for material possessions and wealth, both of which will be greatly empowered by the square Venus will form with Pluto upon entering Taurus. However, the week will begin with Jupiter, the star of this article, moving from Gemini to Cancer on Monday, as you can see in the following chart.

June 9, 2025 at 21:01:47 hours (GMT)
Jupiter takes nearly twelve years to orbit the sun, 11.86 to be precise, and it is sometimes useful to recall what transpired in our lives back then to get an idea of how it may affect us now. In Cancer, Jupiter will expand issues related to our home or homeland, as it may have done from June 26, 2013 until July 16, 2014. A typical example of Jupiter’s expansion is traveling to contact other cultures, so Jupiter in Cancer may involve living abroad. For example, I moved back to Mexico in November, 2013, after more than 35 years in the United States.
Upon entering Cancer (always located at the bottom in an Aries chart), Jupiter will form on-sign squares with both Saturn (Aries 1°01′) and Neptune (Aries 2°00′), and a quincunx with Pluto (Aquarius 3°32′). I will say more about these aspects shortly but the square between Jupiter and Neptune is an aspect that may bring out philanthropy or generosity towards the helpless. Those two planets could also lead to deception and escapism, but Saturn will hopefully inject some sanity to the mix. It is also worth noting that Jupiter and Mercury (Cancer 1°51′) are shown forming a conjunction that was exact a day earlier at Gemini 29°46′, perhaps enabling communications in the areas of philosophy, religion, science or travel.
Full Moon in Sagittarius
The Sun–Moon opposition of the upcoming full moon will occur in the axis of communication, information and knowledge. In Gemini, the Day Force integrates the intellect of an individual by organizing information he or she gathers from diverse relationships; the emphasis being in tagging the information to build a broad catalogue. In Sagittarius, the Night Force integrates the knowledge of society through the development of science, philosophy and religion. When collaborating, the catalogued information in Gemini is utilized in Sagittarius to formulate high-level theories. As a shadow aspect, information could be used to marginalize people.
On Wednesday, June 11, the full moon in Sagittarius will occur at 12:44 a.m. in California, 1:44 a.m. in Mexico City, or 9:44 a.m. in Central Europe. Sun will be at Gemini 20°39′ and Moon at Sagittarius 20°39′, as shown in the following chart.

June 11, 2025 at 07:43:39 hours (GMT)
At the time of the full moon, their rulers, Mercury (Cancer 4°42′) and Jupiter (Cancer 0°20′), continue to be in a conjunction that unifies the full-moon polarity. Mercury and Jupiter form squares with the nearly-exact conjunction (less than 1°) between Saturn (Aries 1°06′) and Neptune (Aries 2°01′), so their energies are included at the full-moon. Although the chart only shows aspects to the North Node (Pisces 23°05′), Sun and Moon form squares with both lunar nodes and thus form a Grand Square configuration in the mutable signs, also called a Grand Cross between the opposition of Sun and Moon (shown in blue) and the nodal axis (not shown). There will be opportunities to build, or destroy, something related to the information and communication axis as it pertains to our home or homeland.
A Healing Kite?
The full-moon opposition is also a participant in another configuration: Mars (Leo 26°39′) will form a same-degree trine with Chiron (Aries 26°08′) and both will form trines with Moon and sextiles with Sun for a powerful Kite configuration with Sun as pilot and Moon as leader. We have discussed Kites before as configurations that focus the energies of three planets on a fourth, called the leader. The three planets act under the guidance of the pilot, which is the planet opposing the leader. In this case, we cannot forget that the opposition of pilot and leader is the full-moon one. Moon will be reflecting not only the energies of Sun but also those of Mars and Chiron. The combination of Mars and Chiron may bring healing energy to emotional situations related to communications, if the Chiron hurt has been overcome. Otherwise, the Chiron hurt will give rise to insecurity which will lead to shyness or overcompensation, and Mars will activate either response. Once again, the squares with the nodal axis will ensure opportunities to address these issues.
Sabian Symbols
The Sabian symbol for Gemini 21 (Sun) is “A labor demonstration”, which Rudhyar expanded as the revolutionary impact of mental concepts upon the collective emotions and desires of man. He sees the demonstration as one of repressed or oppressed reactions to Gemini’s process of individualization, resulting in an Emotional Outburst, its key phrase which we are living worldwide. Meanwhile, Sagittarius 21 (Moon) has the image: “A child and a dog wearing borrowed eyeglasses”, further explained as the use of imagination and make-believe in anticipating higher stages of development. Child and dog are examples of a high and a low levels of consciousness while eyeglasses refer to intellect, the ability to learn from others by reading. Being borrowed suggests they are used for Learning Through Imitation, its key phrase.
Trump’s Full Moon
In a previous article, we discussed the expected implosion of the ultra-liberal capitalism championed by the United States, and showed the chart of President Trump as the apocalyptic avatar of such massive change. The upcoming full moon will arrive just three days before he turns 79 years old so Sun will be near its position in his natal chart and, since he was also born on the Sagittarian full moon (and lunar eclipse), Moon will also be near its natal position. However, there are other influences I want to show you so let’s look at the full-moon transits (in blue and orange) on his chart:

(transit chart at the full moon)
Interestingly, the full moon will happen on Trump’s biennial Mars return, with transiting Mars at Leo 26°39′ and natal Mars at Leo 26°47′, a moment of individualism punctuated by the fact that his Mars is in conjunction to his Ascendant (Leo 29°49′). Even though Mars and Uranus will form an exact square on June 15, it is already in orb at the full moon, which means that Uranus will be forming a square to Trump’s natal Mars the entire week; in fact, it is already in orb as I am writing this. This is a highly erratic aspect that could easily turn to violence as previously-unknown passions and anger emerge. Furthermore, a square between transiting Mercury (Cancer 4°42′) and natal Neptune (Libra 5°51′) will discourage clear thinking.
Transiting Uranus, seen at the top of the chart, also forms a square with his Ascendant resulting in a desire for personal independence at the expense of intimate relationships and friendships, and the airwaves are full today about the fallout from the breakup between Trump and Elon Musk who have embarked in a war of words on the social networks each owns. Finally, note that the current nodes will form squares with his natal nodes, given that the two axis intersect at nearly 90°, signifying difficult life experiences.
Square of Mars and Uranus
On June 15, we will experience two exact squares. First, Mars and Uranus will meet at 28°55′ of Leo and Taurus, respectively, followed a few hours later by Jupiter and Saturn at 1°18′ of Cancer and Aries, in the world axis, as shown below.

June 15, 2025 at 14:34:08 hours (GMT)
Involving slow planets, both squares will have already been felt for a few days. The square of Jupiter and Saturn will become much stronger when Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9. However, the square of Mars and Uranus has been active since last Monday, June 2, and will remain in orb until June 22; incidentally, the same will be true in Trump’s chart. In general, when the processes of Mars and Uranus are found in aspects of action, such as the square, there is energy for revolutionary action. Having such a square in fixed signs often results in sudden and explosive releases of energy, for the fixed signs concentrate the power generated by the cardinal sign just prior. Uranus in Taurus is linked to world catastrophes in land, such as earthquakes or fires, and we have certainly seen plenty of those. At a personal level, Uranus symbolizes the intuitive processes so Mars could activate flashes of intuition. Mars in Leo can energize expressions of violence which could arrive with the suddenness of Uranus, especially because it will enter the anaretic degree of Taurus a few hours later. Remember to count up to ten.
Final Waxing Jupiter–Saturn Square
The cycle of relationship between Jupiter and Saturn is punctuated by the Great Conjunctions that occur approximately every twenty years and which could be likened to the pulse of society. These cycles are themselves subcycles of a larger cycle, sometimes called a Great Mutation, in which consecutive Grand Conjunctions rotate through the three signs of the same element for 180–220 years or 9–11 cycles. Between 1842 and 2020, the cycles began in earth signs, and society became much more materialistic than before. The Great Conjunction of December 21, 2020, in the first degree of Aquarius, at 0°29′, began a Great Mutation in air signs that will last 180 years.1 Air is the element of ideas and ideals, as opposed to earth, the element of matter and conservatism. The Great Mutation in earth brought tremendous advances in technology as humanity exploited the Earth, but that mentality must die with the old paradigms.
Every cycle of relationships parallels the lunation cycle, so we can talk about waxing and waning phases. In particular, the waxing, or opening, square will correspond to the First Quarter phase: a crisis of activity. Whatever was initiated at the Great Conjunction, is finding external inertia which forces a revaluation of the steps taken thus far. Aquarius is the sign of truth and we have found many truths in the last five years, society is at a crisis point that asks for a rectification. Aquarius also symbolizes science and technology—the ChatGPT craze happened when Pluto briefly transited through Aquarius in 2023—and the Great Conjunction of 2020 brought the COVID vaccines. The waxing square finds external inertia working against continuing their use, and against vaccination in general, to give a glaring example. Oh, and funding for science is becoming increasingly scarce all over the world but especially in the US.
Discussion
We are living the first of two of the most chaotic lunations of the year, when Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus will change sign, so it is impossible to ignore what is around us, especially that which is truly despicable. I try to bring up the astrology behind the chaos so we don’t feel like we are going crazy; yes, things are as incomprehensible as they seem. However, these turbulent times are full of opportunities for growth and co-creation, we just need to trust in the astrology that predicts calmer times, just like today the planets are helping us understand the world around us.
These are good times to observe ourselves and our surroundings. If you know your chart, see in which houses fall Aries 0° and Gemini 0°, they represent fields of experience where you will notice many changes. Saturn and Neptune have crossed Aries 0° but will do it again twice more: first going back to Pisces this year and then moving definitely to Aries early next year. The same will happen to Uranus which will cross Gemini 0° for the first time on July 7 but will cross it again in November, returning to Taurus, and once more next April. Even if you don’t know your chart, observe your reactions to what is going on between now and November for this is a rehearsal of sorts for what we’ll get in the second half of 2026 and beyond.
Even though the trine between Mars and Venus is no longer operational, there are still important energies to work on our relationships since Venus will be forming a square with Pluto through the next ten days or so. This represents powerful energies to go deep and analyze our relationships and even radically transform them. Remember that Pluto is operating from the same Aquarius degree with a Hindu healer as symbol, which Rudhyar interpreted as a degree that focuses spiritual energy. And, speaking of healing, Mars and Chiron will be forming a trine and thus making healing energy available, especially regarding our personal sovereignty.
Wrapping Up…
My main advise is the same one: keep your knowledge of what the news offers to a minimum. Or, pull up a chair and some popcorn to enjoy the tragicomedy.
You may enjoy unusual activities these days, there is a lot of energy for newness as well.
I hope you get to see and enjoy Wednesday’s full moon.
Always Love. 🌹🙏💖
- The boundaries between Great Mutations are not as sharp as I make it appear. For example, prior to 2020, there was one Great Conjunction in Libra, an air sign, in 1980–81 (it was a triple conjunction), followed by one last Great Conjunction in an earth sign, Taurus, in May, 2000. ↩︎
